AUDI

When “Horsh” word already used as a trade name, German auto pioneer August Horch for his own company chose the Latin translation of his last name ‘’Horch’’-> AUDI.

BMW

Bayerische Motoren Werke (Bavarian Motor Works) a German based automobile manufacturing company founded by Franz Josef Popp in 1916.

CHEVROLET
 

Named after Swiss race car driver and automotive engineer company co-founder Louis Chevrolet.

CADILLAC

Named after the 18th-century French explorer Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, who founded Detroit, Michigan. Cadillac is a small town in the South of France. The company, founded in 1902, was purchased by General Motors in 1909 and survives to this day as a General Motors brand.
